Se recomandă ca toate rezultatele pozitive să fie confirmate printr-o metodă mai specifică: gaz-
cromatografie/spectrometrie de masă.
Un rezultat negativ nu indică neapărat lipsa consumului de substanţe nocive, acestea putând fi la
un nivel sub limita de detecţie a metodei .
